Is SearchCue a chatbot?
Yes, and a little more than that. We are not fond of the word chatbot, but SearchCue is a powerful search tool combined with one.
Will it make things up?
SearchCue only answers from the content of your site, and every answer shows its sources so visitors can click through and check. If it does not have the information, it says so. No AI is right 100% of the time, but showing the sources with every answer keeps that in check.
Can I get a surprise bill?
No. You set a monthly budget and that is a hard limit. When you reach it, SearchCue falls back to keyword search at no extra cost, unless you have chosen to keep conversational answers running. Either way, you decide the ceiling.
What if I don't want AI Answers?
That's perfectly fine! Just switch off AI Answers in SearchCue's dashboard. You will still get blazingly fast, typo-resistant search. And most likely, you only need the Starter plan, so you'll save money on top.
Do I need a developer?
Not really. You paste one snippet into your site and add a link or a button. Most people are done in a few minutes, and if you get stuck you can always reach us. Sebastian and Felix answer themselves.
What kind of site does it work on?
Any site where you can paste a snippet: WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Squarespace, or your own hand-built pages. Whatever makes you happy.
How does SearchCue know what is on my site?
We crawl your site when you sign up, usually only a couple of minutes, then re-crawl once a day or whenever you request a manual recrawl from the dashboard.
Do you train AI on my content or my visitors' questions?
No. SearchCue reads your site so it can answer questions about it, but we do not train on your data or your visitors' data.
Will it slow my site down?
No. The snippet loads asynchronously and never blocks your page.
What does it cost to set up?
