Product details belong in the search results
A product name alone rarely answers a shopper's question. SearchCue supports published WooCommerce products and variations with prices, sale and stock status, images, attributes, and faceted filters.
Use your own catalogue to check the experience. Product attributes and data quality affect how useful the results can be. A filter is only helpful when the underlying catalogue describes products consistently.
For the complete site-search overview, see the SearchCue WordPress search plugin.
Connect WordPress, then check product configuration
- Install and activate SearchCue from the WordPress plugin directory.
- Connect the website using the email sign-in flow in the SearchCue settings.
- Confirm that WooCommerce is active and that the products you want to show are published.
- Open the product-search settings in SearchCue and configure the product experience.
- Wait for the content to be indexed, then run the checks below.
The WordPress setup guide covers the connection and search entry points. SearchCue hosts the search index on its own servers. The WordPress plugin connects the site to that service.
Test a real shopping journey
Start with a small set of products that covers your catalogue's important cases: a simple product, a variation, an item on sale, and an item whose stock status has changed.
- Search by product name and a common typing mistake.
- Check the displayed price and stock status against the current product page.
- Use attributes and filters to narrow the results.
- Open a product from the results and confirm that it leads to the expected page.
- Repeat the checks on mobile and after a product update has been indexed.
Search data may wait for synchronisation or indexing after a change. The product page and checkout remain the places to confirm the current offer. Test any custom pricing, multilingual, subscription, or other shop extension you rely on; do not assume compatibility from a general WooCommerce integration.
Help with the questions around a purchase
Shoppers also look for delivery information, returns policies, and product guidance. SearchCue can search indexed public pages alongside other supported content and can provide optional AI answers with source links.
Keep policy pages accurate, and test questions against those pages before enabling answers for shoppers. An answer should help a visitor reach the source. It should not be treated as a guarantee of price, availability, or suitability.
Use search analytics to see the questions and products visitors look for. Investigate repeated zero-result searches before deciding whether to change the catalogue or the search configuration.
Try the service with your catalogue
The WordPress plugin connects to a SearchCue account. Review current pricing and usage limits, then use the trial to test your own products and queries. Contact support@searchcue.com if your shop depends on a configuration you need to verify.
