Hide pages from SearchCue search results

Why hide pages from search?

You can keep a page on the site without showing it in search results. Common examples include:

• landing pages built for campaigns or SEO
• overview pages that are less useful than the content they link to
• pages that must stay visible to search engines but not to site visitors

Use SearchCue search lenses to control these results.

Set up exclusions

Use the Default lens to control what appears in search across the site.

1. Open Search lenses in the SearchCue interface.
2. Open the Default lens.

Use the main field in the lens editor to specify which paths SearchCue must exclude.

You can:

• exclude a single page with /specific-page
• exclude a whole section with a wildcard, for example /blog*
• add an exception with !, for example !/blog/interesting-post to bring one page back after excluding the whole blog with /blog*

Select Save. Changes apply immediately.
