Synonyms

Synonyms help visitors find the content under different names. For example, a visitor who searches for Pinot Nero can find a page that says Pinot Noir.

Matches work in both directions. Each row is one group of names with the same meaning. Complete phrases work too.

Availability

Synonyms is a beta feature included in every SearchCue plan. Your site does not need beta access.

Add a group

1. Sign in to SearchCue.
2. Open the site.
3. Select Synonyms.
4. Enter one word or phrase in Word or phrase.
5. Enter its alternative names in Synonyms, with one name per line.
6. Select Save.

The editor has two columns. For a wine site, start with groups such as these:

To add Pinot Grigio to the last group, enter it on a new line below Pinot Gris in the same cell. Do not put it in a separate row.

A blank row appears at the end as you fill the table. Changes only take effect after Save. No new crawl is needed.
